Bay City, Mich. - Grand Valley State Patrick Troy went 2-1 in both singles and doubles competition over the week, picking up wins against Findlay and Mercyhurst. Troy became the second straight Laker to win the award after Tony Dang won it last week.
After taking tough losses at third singles and second doubles against Northwood, Troy recorded a win at third singles against Findlay in straight sets. He also shut out his opponents in the second doubles spot, 8-0. Troy continued to roll, getting a straight sets victory in third singles against Mercyhurst and then an 8-1 win in second doubles against the rival Lakers. Troy is now 18-10 overall this season with a 4-3 conference mark.
