Results

Muncie, Ind. - Grand Valley State University shot a 316 in round one of the Ball State Cardinal Classic, good enough for fourth place after the first day. The Lakers were led by Tracey Puckering and Ashley Smith, who both shot a 78 on Sunday to tie for 12th place. GVSU will finish out the meet Monday, April 14 in Muncie, Ind.

Puckering shot a 36 on the first nine holes and finished with a 42 on the back nine for her 78. Smith finished with a 39 on both the front and back end to finish at 78. Kristina Langton is tied for 16th place after the first day, shooting a 40 in the first nine and a 39 to close it out.

Caitlin Benett and Allie Tyler were the final two scorers for the Lakers in day one. Benett shot an 81 (39-42) to tie for 27th place, while Tyler's 82 (40-42) was good enough for a tie in 32nd place.
