Allendale, Mich. - To continue their unbeaten season, Grand Valley State University will have to defeat Mercyhurst College for a third time. The #1 Lakers have defeated Mercyhurst twice already this season, including a 4-0 victory in the GLIAC Championship. This time, the two teams will meet in the second round of the NCAA Tournament with the winner advancing to the third round. Mercyhurst defeated Quincy University in the first round of action on Friday. The Lakers grabbed a 1-0 victory with a goal in the 60th minute of action. Both times that MC has played against GVSU this season, they have found themselves on the wrong side of a 4-0 decision.

The game on Sunday will get underway at 1 p.m. GVSU boasts a perfect 19-0 record, while Mercyhurst enters the match with a record of 15-4-2. The winner of the match will advance to the third round, which will be hosted by the highest remaining seed from the Central Region.
