Bay City, Mich. - Breanne Kronberg was named the GLIAC Player of the Week following her performances against Mercyhurst and Gannon over the weekend. Kronberg is the second Laker to win the award in as many weeks, as Sarah Holland won the inaugural award of the season last week. Kronberg batted .600 over the weekend to help the No. 8 Lakers to four straight wins. GVSU is now 19-6 overall and holds a 4-0 record in the conference heading into games against Northwood and Saginaw Valley State this weekend.
Over the four-game span, she drove in five runs, as well as crossing the plate four times herself. In game one against Mercyhurst, she went 2-2 from the plate with a double, two runs batted in and one run scored. In the second game against Gannon, she hit a homerun while plating four runs and scoring two herself. For the weekend, she recorded a .636 on-base percentage to go with a slugging percentage of 1.000.
