Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown University crew programs had three rowers earn top-five finishes at the C.R.A.S.H.-B Sprints World Indoor Rowing Championships this past weekend in Boston, Mass. The three Hoyas to earn those finishes were junior lightweight Scott Dotto (Ramsey, N.J./Don Bosco Prep), junior heavyweight Chuck Hartwig (Greendale, Wis./Martin Luther) and freshman lightweight Alexis Zink (Bethesda, Md./Georgetown Visitation). Zink, the top collegian in the lightweight women's division, recorded the second-best time in the world at 07.11.8, a mere 1.4 seconds behind world champion Sonia Boubeta.
On the men's side, Dotto finished with the second-best time for a lightweight collegian at 06:22.0, three seconds behind winner Nick LaCava. Also, Hartwig finished with the second-best time as a collegian, 05:58.2, as he competed in the prestigious heavyweight division.
