The Georgetown University men's golf team shot a 14-over par 298 in the final round of play and finished in 13th place at the Princeton Invitational, hosted by Princeton University at the Springdale Golf Club in Princeton, N.J. St. John's topped the 15-team field at 17-over par 869 and won the tournament by four strokes over George Mason and Princeton, tied for second at 21-over par 873. George Washington placed fourth at 22-over par 874, followed by St. Bonaventure in fifth at 23-over par 875. Georgetown was 13th at 49-over par 901. Keegan Bradley and Evan Beirne of St. John's were the top individuals in the field of 77 golfers at two-under par 211. Sophomore Vincenzo Salina (Vandoeuvres, Switzerland/Institut Florimont) led Georgetown, tying for 23rd place at eight-over par 221. After an eight-over par 79 in the first round, Salina bounced back with consecutive rounds of even-par 71. Junior Tim Hager (Ivyland, Pa./Council Rock North) tied for 40th place at 13-over par 226. Junior Patrick Sherry (Brookeville, Md./Landon) and senior David Praet (Oakland Township, Mich./Notre Dame Prep) tied for 56th place at 18-over par 231 and junior Garrett Logan (Henderson, Nev./Bishop Gorman) tied for 65th place at 20-over par 233. Georgetown hits the links again next week playing at the BIG EAST Championship from April 19-22.
