March 1, 2008 Arlington, Va. - Sophomore Will Lowell (Nahant, Mass./Saddlebrook Prep) and junior Adam Gross (Quogue, N.Y./Westhampton) each picked up singles victory, but the Georgetown University men's tennis team fell to Binghamton University, 5-2 on Saturday night at the Army-Navy Country Club in Arlington, Va. For Gross, the victory over Gregoire Berner at No. 6 was his third straight consecutive singles victory, the longest on the team this season. The Hoyas got off to a quick start as senior Jeffrey Schnell (Short Hills, N.J./Millburn) and Gross picked up an 8-3 victory over Moshe Levy and Alex Dobrin in the No. 1 doubles match. Though the Bearcats won the next to doubles matches to capture the team point. Down 2-0, Lowell defeated Levy, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 in the No. 2 match, but Bearcats would take the next three to put the match away.
