Georgetown Men's Tennis Takes on Cross-Town Rival George Washington on Friday

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Georgetown University men's tennis team (7-10) will look to continue its five-match winning streak when they take on cross-town rival George Washington University on Friday, March 28 at 2 p.m. on the Colonials' Mount Vernon campus.

In the case of poor weather, the match will be moved to the Regency Sport & Health Club in McLean, Va. at 1 p.m.

GU defeated GW, 5-2 the last time the two teams met on September 29, 2006. For the Hoyas it was the first time they defeated the Colonials since October 11, 2000.

Sophomore David Tillem (Atlanta, Ga./The Weber School) has been key to the Hoyas turnaround, winning his last four singles, matches, including his last three in the No. 2 singles spot. Tillem leads the Hoyas three match-clinching victories.

Senior Ted Tywang (Nashville, Tenn./Montgomery Bell Academy) has won four of his last five singles matches, as well as his last two doubles matches along with sophomore Anthony Tan (Jakarta, Indonesia/Anglo-Chinese Junior College).
