Yale shot a tournament-best 13-over par in the second round and stands in first place of 14 teams with a 38-over par 614 after the first day of play at the Hoya Women's Golf Invitational, being hosted by Georgetown University at The Members Club at Four Streams. The 14 teams battled cold weather and a steady rain throughout the day, with the second round hampered by heavy rains in the late afternoon.

Yale has four individuals among the top-20 overall and leads the field by one stroke, just ahead of Rollins College, second at 39-over par 615. Princeton stands in third at 41-over par 617, while host Georgetown is tied for fourth place with Nova Southeastern University at 49-over par 625. Columbia (53-over par 629), St. John's (59-over par 635), Boston College (83-over par 659), Lehigh (88-over par 664) and Pennsylvania (94-over par 670) round out the top-10.

Susannah Aboff of Princeton and Georgetown University junior Carly Hunt (Easton, Pa./Conestoga) are tied for the individual for the individual lead at five-over par 149, one stroke ahead of Joanna Coe of Rollins College and Harriet Owers-Bradle, who are tied for second at six-over par 150.

Hunt shot a two-over par 74 in the first round and backed that up with a three-over par 75 in the second round.

Hoya freshman Christine Curley (Vienna, Va./James Madison) is tied for 11th place at 11-over par 155, while junior Chelsea Curtis (Hyannis, Mass./Cape Cod Academy) is tied for 15th place at 12-over par 156. Senior Katie Dwyer (Allentown, Pa./Moravian Academy) is tied for 42nd place at 24-over par 168 and senior Madeleine Nguyen (Atherton, Calif./Menlo) is tied for 52nd place at 28-over par 172.

Freshman Robyn English (Warwick, R.I./St. Mary Academy), playing as an individual, is tied for 37th place at 22-over par 166.

Tuesday's final round begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
