The Georgetown women's golf team placed two individuals among the top-10 overall and the Hoyas shot a 20-over par 308 and stand in fourth place of seven teams at the BIG EAST Championships, being held at the Elks Run Golf Club in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Notre Dame shot an eight-over par 296 and leads the field by six strokes. Louisville is second at 14-over par 302, followed by Cincinnati (18-over par 306) and Georgetown (20-over par 308). St. John's is fifth at 27-over par 315, with South Florida (31-over par 319) sixth and Rutgers seventh (53-over par 341).

Notre Dame junior Lisa Maunu leads the individual field after shooting a one-over par 73 on day one. Trailing Maunu are senior Brittany Lambertson of St. John's, junior Marianne Erb of Cincinnati, sophomore Annie Brophy from Notre Dame, junior Cindy LaCrosse of Louisville and freshman So-Hyun Park of Notre Dame at two-over 74.

Georgetown senior Katie Dwyer (Allentown, Pa./Moravian Academy) and junior Chelsea Curtis (Hyannis, Mass./Cape Cod Academy) each posted rounds of four-over par 76 and are tied for eighth place, just three strokes off the lead.

Senior Madeleine Nguyen (Atherton, Calif./Menlo) and junior Carly Hunt (Easton, Pa./Conestoga) are tied for 15th place with scores of six-over par 78, while freshman Christine Curley (Vienna, Va./James Madison) is in 32nd place at 12-over par 84.
