STARKVILLE, Miss. - The Georgetown University softball team (15-24) had its five-game winning streak snapped by Mississippi State University on Saturday, falling to the No. 21 ranked Bulldogs, 8-0 at the Mississippi State Bully Bash.

The Bulldogs scored four runs in each the second and third innings against freshman Melissa Conners (Wellington, Fla./Wellington) to put the Hoyas away early. Conners took the loss, allowing eight runs, seven earned, on eight hits in 4.0 innings.

Sophomore catcher Suria Bahadue (Miami, Fla./Monsignor Edward Pace) and freshman McKinley Cooper (Langley, Va./McLean) had the Hoyas only hits in the loss.
