TAMPA, Fla. - The Georgetown University tennis team was stopped in the first round of the BIG EAST Conference Tournament on Thursday afternoon by the fifth-seeded DePaul, Blue Demons, 4-0. The Hoyas, who made its first trip to the BIG EAST Tournament since 2000, were unable to advance any further, as the Blue Demons swept through singles and doubles play. DePaul, ranked No. 66 in the April 13 ITA Rankings, relinquished 19 points on the day, winning each singles match in straight sets after securing the doubles point with wins in the No. 1 and No. 3 matches.
