HC Falls To Washington In Doubleheader

SEATTLE, Wash. - The Holy Cross baseball dropped a doubleheader to the University of Washington this afternoon, losing by scores of 14-0 and 8-0. The Crusaders fall to 4-9 on the season while Washington improves to 9-6 overall.

In game one, junior Billy Cupelo (Franklin, Mass.) went 1-for-2 including a triple in the top of the second inning while Brian Pearl went 2-for-4 including a double and drove in six runs for the Huskies.

In the second game, both senior Kyle Lister (Lincoln, R.I.) and freshman Eric Oxford (Danvers, Mass.) went 2-for-4 at the plate including both recording their first doubles of the season. For Washington, Andy Lentz went 1-for-3, hitting a three-run home run.

Holy Cross returns to action on March 19 when they travel to Siena with a game scheduled at 3:00 p.m.
