WORCESTER, Mass. - Sophomore pitcher Bobby Holmes (Dedham, Mass.) has been named the GoHolyCross.com Crusader of the Week, for competition from April 7-13. He threw his first career complete game, picking up his second collegiate shutout in Holy Cross' 8-0 win at Bucknell in the second game of a doubleheader on April 12.

Holmes pitched nine scoreless innings, scattering five hits while striking out three batters and walking one. For the season he has a 3-3 record with a 4.29 ERA. Holmes has struck out 28 batters which is second on the team.

The Crusaders are 14-19 overall and their 7-5 Patriot League record is tied for first place with Bucknell and Army. Holy Cross returns to action on Tuesday, April 15, when they host Central Connecticut at 6:00 p.m.
