HC Picked Sixth In Preseason Poll

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Holy Cross men's lacrosse team has been picked to finish sixth in the 2008 Patriot League preseason poll as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors from around the league. Navy was picked to finish first as it earned 12 of 14 first place votes and 72 total points. Colgate had one first place vote and 60 total points as it was picked to finish second, followed by Bucknell (51 total points and one first place vote), Army (45 total points), Lehigh (31 total points), Holy Cross (20 total points) and Lafayette (15 total points). Colgate's Brandon Corp was named the league's Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, while Navy's Jordan DiNola was named the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.

The Crusaders kick off the 2008 season when they play at St. John's on Saturday, February 16 at 1:00 p.m.
