WORCESTER, Mass. - Freshman attackman Matt Moran (West Henrietta, N.Y.) has been named the GoHolyCross.com Crusader of the Week, for competition from February 18-24. Moran led the Holy Cross men's lacrosse team to a 7-6 victory at Yale on Sunday, in its only game last week.

Against the Bulldogs, Moran led the Crusaders by scoring three of the team's seven goals. His first goal came at the 4:08-mark of the second quarter, to tie the score at 3-3 heading into halftime. Then, with the score tied 5-5 in the fourth quarter, Moran put Holy Cross in the lead for good with a goal at the 3:20-mark. He added his third score of the day with 2:27 remaining, putting the Crusaders up 7-5 with what proved to be the game-winning goal.

Through two games played this season, Moran now leads the team in scoring with four goals.

The Crusaders (2-0 overall) return to action on Tuesday, February 26, when they travel to Dartmouth for a 3:00 p.m. game.
