WORCESTER, Mass. - Sophomore Katie Gardner (Garden City, N.Y.) has been named the GoHolyCross.com Crusader of the Week, for competition from March 17-23. Last week, Gardner led the Holy Cross women's lacrosse team to a pair of victories over Vermont (13-11) and Bucknell (16-6).

In Wednesday's victory over Vermont, Gardner totaled three goals and two assists, including the final goal of the day with 58 seconds left to secure the win. Then in Saturday's win over Bucknell, she added three goals and three assists.

On the season, Gardner now ranks second on the team in scoring with 19 points on 13 goals and six assists. Over the course of her Holy Cross career, she has totaled 13 goals and eight asssits for 21 points.

The Crusaders, who stand 2-6 overall and 1-2 in the Patriot League, return to action on Thursday, March 27, when they play host to Siena at 4:00 p.m.
