Women's Track & Field Competes At Wildcat Invitational

Results

Durham, N.H. - The women's track and field team traveled to New Hampshire to compete in the Wildcat Invitational hosted by the University of New Hampshire. The Crusaders had more than 40 top ten finishes, with 15 individuals placing in the top five.

Placing first in their events were Caitlin Paluilis (Pittsfield, Mass.) in the 5000-meter run wih a time of 17:55.55 and Rachel Amaral (Raynham, Mass.) in the shot putt with a toss of 124'. The 4x400-meter realy team took first with a time of 4:03.66.

Second place finishes included Tiffany Reid (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.08, Dannielle Meder (Chicopee, Mass.) in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 14.79, Claire Luke (Delmar, N.Y.) in the 3000-meter run with a time of 11:59.16, Alexandra Swiatocha (Mohopac, N.Y.) in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:46.35 and Lesley Bautista (St. John's, Newfoundland) in the pole vault with a height of 11'5.75".

The Crusaders compete again April 12 at the Bernard Solomon Invitational held in Dedham, Mass. Start time is set for 10:00 a.m.
