Cougar Golf Team Opens 2008 Spring Schedule at GADO North Texas Classic

The University of Houston men's golf team opens its 2008 Spring schedule at the GADO North Texas Classic on Feb. 17-18 in Nueva Vallarta, Mexico. The Cougars will be competing against 13 teams on the par 72-7000 yard course at the Flamingos Golf Club.

Houston will compete against the host school North Texas, Arkansas-Little Rock, Ball State Cal State Northridge, Colorado State, Eastern Illinois, Louisiana-Lafayette, Middle Tennessee, Missouri, New Orleans, Southeastern Louisiana, Troy and Washington.

The Tournament will feature two rounds being played on Sunday and the final round being held on Monday.

Last season, Houston tied Indiana for the team championship and Jordan Irwin tied Indiana's Jorge Campillo for the individual title after finishing the tournament with a 2-under-par 214.
