HOUSTON - The University of Houston women's basketball team closes out the road portion of its 2007-08 schedule this weekend as the regular season enters its final two weeks.
Houston (14-12, 8-4 Conference USA) takes on Tulsa (9-16, 5-7 C-USA) at 7 p.m. CST Thursday at the Reynolds Center.
Houston finishes up a four-game road trip at SMU Saturday. The Cougars and Mustangs tip off at 2 p.m. in Moody Coliseum.
With four regular-season games remaining, UH sits in a tie for third place in the C-USA standings, tied with UAB, one game behind SMU and four games behind UTEP.
The Cougars were picked seventh in the preseason poll.

STORYLINES
- Houston (14-12, 8-4 C-USA) enters on a three-game losing streak, but will look to take the season series over Tulsa (9-16, 5-7 C-USA) for the first time.
- The Cougars have been outscored 227-175 in their past two games.
- The Cougars' 14 wins are the most since the 2004-05 season.
- UH's six road victories this season have already surpassed the team's road-win total (4) of the previous two seasons.
- Houston has never finished a season below .500 when recording six or more road wins.
- Tulsa is 0-4 since the two teams last met on Feb. 7, a 63-49 UH win.
- Twiggy McIntyre (15.0 ppg), Tye Jackson (10.8) and Courtney Taylor (10.0) lead UH.
- McIntyre is averaging a league-high 17.5 ppg in C-USA play and has gone 53-57 from the line (.930) during that span. She earned C-USA POTW honors on Jan. 7 and Jan. 21.
- Jackson has averaged 6.3 assists and 6.3 rebounds per game in C-USA games. She was named C-USA POTW on Feb. 4 after averaging nearly a triple-double against Memphis and UAB.
- Jackson tallied the fourth triple-double in Conference USA and Cougar history with 11 points, a career-best 16 rebounds and 12 assists in an 80-76 overtime win at UAB.
- Taylor has averaged just under a double-double during league play thus far (10.9/9.9).
- UH is 12-3 when holding its opponents under 70 points.
- Houston head coach Joe Curl, who suffered a heart attack on Oct. 27, continues to recover at his Houston home. He has been cleared to return to recruiting duties. No timetable has been set for his return to coaching.
