Final Stats

ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's tennis team had no problem extending its American Southwest Conference winning streak to 66 straight matches with a 9-0 blanking of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Friday afternoon at the Streich Tennis Center.

The Cowboys won all six singles matches in straight sets. Andy Cariens and Trey Chavez each had 6-0, 6-0 wins at No. 4 and No. 6 singles respectively. Ryan Waters, Wade Morgan and Justin Lockaby dominated their matches, losing only two games each.

HSU won all three doubles, with only No. 2 doubles being as close as 8-5.

The Cowboys are now 9-6 overall and 5-0 in ASC play. UMHB fell to 3-6 overall and 2-4 in league play. HSU will host Sul Ross State at 9 a.m. and will play at McMurry at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
