FARMER'S BRANCH, Texas - After a long day on Friday, Hardin-Simmons softball team responded with a pair of wins on Saturday winning 7-5 over UT-Dallas and 10-3 against Ozarks in the American Southwest Conference Crossover Tournament at Oran Good Park in Framer's Branch.

The Cowgirls final game on Friday did not end until well after midnight and HSU lost both games on Friday to No. 2 UT-Tyler, 9-0, and No. 9 Louisiana College, 13-0.

HSU responded with a pair of wins on Saturday to improve to 6-4 on the year. The Cowgirls will return to action in ASC West action next weekend at Schreiner.

Full stats were not immediately available with the number of games that were played over the weekend.
