Box Score

Peoria, Ill.- The UIC baseball team lost to Bradley, 5-1, at O'Brien Field on Wednesday.

UIC (15-9) lit the scoreboard first with a run in the third. Rafael Garcia doubled with one away, and two batters later Ty Rubio brought him home on a single.

That's all the Flames could muster offensively, though. UIC stranded eight runners on base and fell victim to three double plays.

Bradley (12-12) led off its half of the third with three straight singles and a sacrifice fly that plated a pair of runs and put the hosts up by one.

The Braves tacked on three more runs in the seventh, scoring all three with two outs. Rob Elliott's two-run single did the most damage during the frame.

UIC hosts Butler in a three-game series at Les Miller Field beginning this Friday.
