UIC Baseball Game Notes in PDF Format

Chicago, Ill.- The UIC baseball team resumes Horizon League play with a three-game series against Butler at Les Miller Field this weekend.

The set starts on Friday at 4:05 p.m. when UIC RHP Derrick Miramontes (3-0, 1.83 ERA) goes up against Butler LHP Matt Sokolowski (0-3, 6.51 ERA).

Saturday will feature a doubleheader between the two squads beginning at 1:05 p.m.

UIC (15-9, 5-1 Horizon League) has won 12 of its last 15 games and is 10-1 so far at home.

The Flames hold the series lead against the Bulldogs (6-14, 3-3), 36-30. UIC won five of six meetings last year, including all three at Les Miller Field last May.

Butler has scored 10 or more runs in three of its last four contests but is hitting just .244 as a team.
