Men's Tennis Beats Villanova
April 12, 2008 Chicago, Ill. - The UIC men's tennis team made the most of its final non-conference match of the season, defeating Villanova 4-1 on Saturday evening. As predetermined by the coaches prior to the start of the match, no doubles games were played. The Flames picked up singles victories in the top four positions, with Eric Fey deciding the match after a 7-5, 6-7, 6-3 win over David Shaheen at fourth position. Villanova is the first Big East team the Flames have defeated this season, after falling to DePaul and Marquette back in January. UIC will return to Flames Courts to take on Valparaiso on Wednesday the 16th at 3 p.m.
