Chicago, Ill. -The UIC men's tennis team closed out the regular season on Sunday with a hard fought battle against Cleveland State, falling to the Vikings, 5-2.

Prior to the start of the match, seniors Eric Fey and Sean Kreymborg were honored as part of the senior day festivities.

Fey, paired with Sebastian Lystad, kicked off Fey's final match of his career on Flames Courts with a tiebreaker win over Rob Fox and Rob West, defeating the duo at No. 2 doubles 8-7 (1). Unfortunately for the Flames, the ever crucial doubles point went the way of the Vikings as the first and third doubles teams were unable to secure a win.

Fey and Bastian Harbo notched the lone singles wins of the day, with Fey winning at No. 4 over Chris Klepatz, 6-4, 6-1. Harbo defeated Brad Groleski at the third slot, winning a 6-2, 6-2 decision.

The Flames end the regular season with a 13-9 record, and went 5-1 in Horizon League play.

UIC will look to claim its first-ever league title at the Horizon League tournament down in Indianapolism held from April 25-27.
