Toledo, Ohio - The UIC women's tennis team went 1-1 in Ohio this weekend with a win against Toledo on Sunday.

UIC claimed the doubles point against the Rockets, with the pairing of Grace Gill-Morlis and Jenna Reisch not allowing the team of Jenny Belsky and Sarah Horning to score, winning 8-0 at the third position.

The first doubles team of Lubica Nadasska and Kristen McPhillips also had an easy match, defeating Martina Wodzinski and Nadia Zobareva 8-2.

Singles matches went well for the Flames, with Ilinca Cristescu claiming her first dual match singles victory in her career. The freshman won at the first singles postion, defeating Martina Wodzinski in three sets.

Senior Lubica Nadasska, who retired in her match against Bowling Green on Saturday, bounced back to win over Maha Guirguis in straight sets.

The Flames remain on the road next weekend, taking on Missouri on Saturday the 16 at 3 p.m. and competing against Southeast Missouri State the following day at 9 a.m.
