Final Stats

Kalamazoo, Mich - The UIC women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision against MAC powerhouse Western Michigan on Saturday.

The Flames gave the 65th team in the nation all they could handle, but were overpowered at all positions.

UIC faced the Broncos as the first of a triple-header against Horizon League schools, with Detroit and Green Bay taking on Western Michigan later in the day.

Even in defeat, the Flames can take away something positive from the loss as UIC had the best results against Western Michigan in comparison to the Titans and Phoenix, who both also fell 7-0.

The Flames are idle until March 1, when the team travels to Ames, Iowa to face Iowa State on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Due to the recent tragic events in DeKalb, UIC's initial home opener on February 27 against Northern Illinois has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date.
