Chicago, Ill. - The UIC women's tennis team took their winning ways outdoors and defeated Youngstown State 7-0 Sunday afternoon at Flames Courts.

Even with a bit of wind present, the Flames swept through all the doubles matches with ease, and had little problem winning in the singles lineup.

Ilinca Cristescu shook off a close first set loss to defeat YSU's Anna Volkova in 5-7, 6-3, 10-8 at the first singles slot.

The Flames are now 2-0 in league action, after winning at Green Bay on Saturday.

UIC will take on three Horizon League foes on the road in the coming week. The squad will head to Detroit on Thursday the 10th for a 10:30 a.m. match, and then face Valparaiso and Wright State for weekend action.
