UIC vs. Youngstown State - Horizon League Tournament Get Acrobat Reader

Chicago, Ill. - The eighth-seeded UIC volleyball team faces No. 9 Youngstown State in the first round of the 2008 Horizon League Tournament on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 5 p.m. CST.

The Flames (13-17) and Penguins (11-16) kick off this year's tournament action at the Woodling Gymnasium on the campus of Cleveland State University.

The winner squares off against first-seeded Milwaukee on Friday, Nov. 21 at 10:30 a.m.

UIC owns a 2-0 mark against Youngstown State in regular season matches this season. The Flames recorded a .269 attack percentage in seven sets, while holding the Penguins to a .172 offensive clip.

The Flames also averaged 2.6 service aces, 17.6 digs and 1.7 blocks per set against Youngstown State this season.

Casie Sullivan leads UIC's attack with 2.8 kills per set, while Lana Lobdell ranks 10th in the Horizon League with a .247 attack percentage. Averaging 0.9 blocks per set, Epiphany Davis finished the regular season ranked seventh in the league.

Youngstown State's Ruth Boscaljon led the league all season in blocks (1.2) and attack percentage (.295).
