BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Seniors Devon Williams, Anna Lovell and Jeremy Johnson led the Illinois State men's and women's track and field teams into the finals at the Indiana Relays in Bloomington, Ind., at Gladstein Fieldhouse Friday. The meet will conclude Saturday with the first event scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.

Williams will head to the finals in the 60- and 200-meters as she finished with a time of 7.65 and 25.11 in each event, respectively. Lovell advanced in the 400-meters clocking in with a time of 57.56, and will join Williams in the 200-meter finals as she finished with a time of 25.16 in the 200-meter preliminaries. Senior Brianna Officer will also compete in the 400-meter finals as she recorded a time of 58.87.

On the Redbird men's side, Johnson claimed a spot in the finals in both the 60- and 200-meters after posting times of 6.94 in the 60 and a 21.97 in the 200. Senior DeAndre Tillman and freshman Dan Murphy will move into the finals in the 400-meter dash as the two crossed the finish line in 49.28 and 49.96, respectively. Sophomore Rob Barkulis and freshman Nick Geyer will advance to the finals in the 800. Barkulis placed seventh in the prelims with a time of 1:56.48 and Geyer placed ninth (1:56.74).

In the men's field events, senior Alex Straughn claimed second in the high jump with a season-best height of 6-10.75 feet. Sophomore Nick Ragusa took third in the pole vault as he achieved a personal-best height of 16-00.75 for the `Birds to conclude day one.
