ISU-NIU Softball Game Rescheduled for April 29

NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State softball team has rescheduled its doubleheader against in-state foe Northern Illinois for a single game, beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 29 at the Redbird Softball Complex. The game was originally slated to be the Redbirds' 2008 home-opener March 11, but it was postponed due to wet field conditions at the Redbird Softball Complex. Following its 16-8 loss to Illinois Wednesday night, Illinois State (18-16, 8-4 MVC) is scheduled to return to action this weekend at home with a three-game Missouri Valley Conference series against Wichita State. First pitch of Saturday's doubleheader against the Shockers at the Redbird Softball Complex is slated for noon.
