IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The first season of professional football for former University of Iowa tight end Scott Chandler consisted of a lot of standing, but also a lot of learning.

Chandler, a fourth-round selection of the San Diego Chargers in the 2007 NFL Draft, was active for just one regular season game last season. Although Chandler admits that standing on the sidelines is frustrating, he said that his rookie season provided an excellent opportunity to learn.

As Chandler prepares for his second season with the Chargers, his goal is clear -- to get on the playing field.
