Butler Results | Indiana State Results

Indianapolis, IN - The IPFW Mastodons dropped a pair of tennis matches over the weekend, falling 6-1 to Butler on Saturday, March 22 and 5-1 to Indiana State on Sunday, March 23.

Against the Bulldogs, Arturo Salgado picked up the only singles victory for the `Dons, winning 6-3, 6-4 at No. 6 singles, as all six singles matches were decided in straight sets. Francisco Sigaud and Hermann Kuschke won at No. 3 doubles 9-7; however Butler picked up the doubles point by winning No. 1 and No. 2 pairs.

In the second match of the weekend, the 5-1 loss to ISU, Salgado yet again came up victorious for the `Dons, winning in three sets, 4-6, 6-1, 10-2. Kusckhe fell in three sets 7-5, 4-6, 10-7, as the remaining IPFW netters fell in straight sets. Doubles were not played in the match with the Sycamores.

The squad next travels to Kansas City, Missouri, to compete in the first of two Summit League "Clusters", with the `Dons facing off against Centenary on Friday the 28th, South Dakota State on Saturday the 29th and Oral Roberts on Sunday the 30th, with all matches being hosted by UMKC.
