Complete Results

Kansas City, MO - The IPFW Mastodons swept through the Centenary Gents by a 7-0 score in the team's first contest of the Summit League cluster hosted by UMKC in Kansas City, Missouri on Friday.

Five of the six singles matches were decided in straight sets, including a dominating 6-0, 6-0 victory by Hermann Kuschke at No. 3 singles, while Francisco Sigaud won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 singles. Other victors for the `Dons were Nabil Mourad Filho, who won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1; Carlos Gonzales, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2; Nathan Jones, 6-3, 6-2 at No. 4; and Arturo Salgado 6-0, 5-7, 10-6 at No. 6.

The doubles matches were equally as dominating, with the team of Filho and Jones winning 8-0 at No. 1. Gonzalez/Salgado and Kuschke/Siguad each won 8-3, the former at No. 2 and the latter at No. 3.

The team takes back to the courts on Saturday, where the `Dons will face off against South Dakota State University starting at 9:00 AM.
