Chicago, IL - The IPFW men's tennis squad (10-11) dropped a non-conference match with the Flames of Illinois-Chicago (10-8) by a 6-1 score on Wednesday afternoon. The Flames picked up the doubles point to start the match, winning at No. 1 and No. 2; however the duo of Francisco Sigaud and Renan Constantino won by an 8-5 score at No. 3. Constantino then became the only Mastodon to win his singles match, taking No. 5 by a 6-1, 6-2 score. Carlos Gonzalez took his opponent to three sets at No. 2, 6-4, 2-6, 10-4, as the remaining four `Don netters fell in straight sets. The squad next travels to Macomb, Illinois, where they will compete in the second and final Summit League cluster, this one hosted by Western Illinois. The `Dons will take on Centenary on April 28th, South Dakota State on the 29th and Oral Roberts on the 30th.
