Fort Wayne, IN - The IPFW Mastodon men won their first official match at the newly re-named Dr. Rudy and Rhonda Kachmann Tennis Center, toppling the Raiders of Wright State University by a 4-2 score.

The `Dons won the doubles point as the pair of Francisco Siguad and Hermann Kuschke won 8-0 at No. 3. The point was secured in a tie-breaker, as Nabil Filho and Nathan Jones won at No. 1 pairs, 9-8 (8-4).

In singles, Carlos Gonzalez won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 3, with Kuschke and Siguad each winning in straight sets, Kuschke 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 and Siguad 6-3, 6-1 at No. 4 to secure the match for the `Dons.

The win snapped a five-match losing streak for the `Dons, improving the team's record to 11-14 overall.

The team next travels to Dekalb, Illinois to face off against Northern Illinois on April 17 before facing Valparaiso in the season finale on April 21.
