Elmhurst, IL - IPFW freshman guard Jordan Zuppe has been named the Summit League Player of the week for her performance in last week's two Mastodon wins. Zuppe (Aliquippa, PA/Hopewell) collects Player of the Week honors after leading the Mastodons to two league road victories over Southern Utah (71-64, OT) and UMKC (86-67). She averaged 23.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. On the week, Zuppe shot 65 percent (15-of-23) from the field, 63 percent (12-of-19) from behind the arc and was a pefect 4-for-4 from the line. She sank a shot at the buzzer to send the SUU game into overtime and scored a career-high 27 points at UMKC. Zuppe becomes the second Mastodon to win Summit League Player of the Week honors. Senior guard Johnna Lewis-Carlisle previously won the award back on January 29. IPFW opens first-round play in The Summit League Tournament on Sunday, March 9 at 1:00 p.m. vs. Oral Roberts.
