Hanna Hager Named Summit League Player of the Week



Hanna Hager became the fifth Mastodon woman to earn Tennis Player of the Week honors this season

Elmhurst, IL - IPFW senior Hanna Hager was recently named the Summit League women's tennis Player of the Week for her performances against St. Francis (Pa.) and Robert Morris.

Against St. Francis, she blanked her opponent, Eva Keresztes, winning 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles before teaming with Mollee Carpenter to pick up an 8-0 victory at No. 2 doubles. She followed up that performance by shutting out Libby Shaw of Robert Morris, winning 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles.

Overall, IPFW has won their last five matches, and six of the last seven.

Hager is the fifth Mastodon women's tennis player to earn this honor, joining Amy Recht (January 29), Ashley Coulson (February 5), Stacy Lish (February 20 and 26) and Sachi Janek (March 4).

The `Dons next travel to Indianapolis, Indiana, where they will compete in the Summit League cluster hosted by IUPUI, where they will face off against IUPUI and UMKC on Friday, April 4, against Southern Utah on April 5 and against Oakland on April 6.
