'Dons Finish 10th at Miami Invitational



Crystina Martinez placed third in the 5,000m run on Saturday afternoon.

Oxford, OH-IPFW Women's Track and Field competed at the Miami Invitational over the weekend.  The `Dons placed tenth of 14 teams with a score of 19.  Miami (Ohio) took home the title with 212 points.

Crystina Martinez and Valerie Hardesty placed a team-high third in the 5,000m run and the 3,000m steeplechase, respectively.  Martinez finished the race with a time of 17:14.78 followed by her sister Crystal who placed fourth with a time of 17:32.72.  Hardesty completed the steeplechase in 11:41.11.

IPFW will return to action on Saturday at the Dave Rankin Invitational hosted by Purdue University.  Meet time is posted as 5:00 PM.
