JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The JU men's soccer team is riding a four-game winning streak at the halfway point of their spring season.

The Dolphins opened the spring with two hard fought ties with UCF and Stetson before falling to St. Leo in their only loss of the spring.

"I'm very proud of the progress the team has shown at the halfway point of the spring," said JU head coach Mike Johnson. "The results have been positive, the highlight being the team defending and goalkeeping. Our team has had four consecutive shutouts and our starting goalkeepers have only allowed one goal in six outings."

The Dolphins have racked up four straight shutout victories, defeating Flagler, FIT Melbourne, Eckerd and Georgia Southern.

The Dolphins' freshmen have accounted for eight of the 10 goals scored this spring. Midfielder Nedim Hrustic leads the way with three, while forwards Jonathan Leach and Wesley Lartey have scored two each. Midfielder Jordan Stanton has also been on target.

"I am happy with the focus and the performance of this young group," Johnson said.

Sophomore midfielder Stefan Runeman has scored the Dolphins' other two goals.

"This is the halfway point in our spring season," said Johnson. "We will look to finish strong in our final two weekends."

The Dolphins will take on Lynch's Irish Pub, a U.S. Open Cup team from Jacksonville and the Palm Beach Pumas from the PDL.
