HAMMOND, La. - The Jackson State Tigers had a 2-1 lead by the third inning but was unable to keep it as the Wednesday night game ended with The Southeastern Louisiana Lions taking the game 10-3. At the bottom of the fifth the Lions scored five runs taking the lead 6-3, followed by two runs in the sixth and seventh inning making the score 10-2. Jackson State added its last run in the seventh inning. Cortez COLE, Enrique Quintero and Pernell HALLIMAN each scored one run respectively. The Tigers managed just seven hits. With the loss, the Tigers break their five game winning streak to post an 8-7 record. The Tigers will be back in action at home on Friday at 6:30 p.m. when they host the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils. |
