ITTA BENA, Miss. - The Jackson State baseball team completed a weekend series sweep of the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils by winning the final two games of the series on Sunday. JSU won the first game of the twinbill 2-0 and the nightcap 11-5. Nick Stewart won the opener for the Tigers. He went three innings, giving up three hits while striking out four batters. Jerome TYES and Willie WESLEY led JSU's offense, recording two hits each. Wesley also scored a run for JSU. Marquise ZACHARY won the second game, as he gave up seven hits and five runs in 5.2 innings of work. Wesley and Charles BROWN each recorded three hits for JSU. Wesley had three runs and a RBI and Brown had two runs and a RBI. |
