HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Four Jackson State men's basketball players scored in double figures, but it would not be enough as the Tigers fell 64-61 to the Alabama A&M Bulldogs in SWAC action Thursday night. With the loss Jackson State falls to a 12-18 overall record and a 10-7 SWAC mark. Alabama A&M improves to 13-14, 10-7. Darrion Griffin scored a team-high 17 points on 5-9 shooting. Garrison Johnson recorded his first double-double of the season as he finished with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Catraiva Givens added 11 points and Grant Maxey scored 10. Evan Hilton scored a game high 20 points and Desmond Jackson finished with 16 points. Alabama A&M held a 34-27 halftime advantage. Jackson State will return to action Saturday, Mar. 8 when the Tigers travel to Montgomery, Ala. to face the Alabama State Hornets for the final SWAC regular season game. |
