JACKSON, Miss. - The Jaguars of Southern University defeated Jackson State men's team to tally a 5-0 record at the 2008 Southwestern Athletic Conference East vs. West Tennis Round-up.

Southern defeated the Tigers 5-2 in the 8:00 a.m. session. The Tigers finished with a round-up record of 3-1. In other men's action, Grambling State beat Alabama A&M 7-0, Alabama State defeated Arkansas-Pine Bluff 6-1 and Prairie View A&M beat Mississippi Valley State 7-0.
