The Jackson State women's basketball team was honored by the city of Jackson Tuesday evening at City Hall. The Lady Tigers received a resolution honoring and commending them for being an outstanding team in the City of Jackson and the State of Mississippi.

"This is such an honor for us," said head coach Denise Taylor. "We can't thank you enough for this resolution. Thank you for your support of Jackson State University and the basketball program.

"We are not just proud of our athletic achievements, but we are also proud of the academic side."
