The Southwestern Athletic Conference Women's Bowling East Round-Up began Friday, January 25 at the Cotton Bowl Lanes Bowling Center in Jackson, Mississippi.

In the Eastern Division, Jackson State had a day-one total of 4-1. Both Alabama State and Alabama A&M each finished the opening day with a mark of 2-2 while Mississippi Valley State was 0-4 in the opening session.

In the Western Division, Southern had a perfect opening day, finishing with a 4-0 mark. Prairie View A&M had a strong day completing the opening session with a 3-2 mark. Texas Southern went 2-2 while Grambling State was 2-3 on day one. Arkansas-Pine Bluff finished the day 1-4.

All competition from this round-up and the West Round-up, held previously in November 2007, will count toward selections for the 2008 S WAC Bowling Championship on February 22-24. The top three teams from each division will advance to championships, to be held at the Holiday Bowl Fun Center in Bessemer, Ala.
