JCSU outscored WVSU 6-3 in overtime to remain perfect on the season. The last these two teams met in this classic, WVSU left with an overtime victory. This time, JCSU wanted to exact that revenge and did so 70-67 also in overtime. Both teams were evenly matched throughout most of the first half. On the very next possession, Tavaris Little (Elgin, S.C.) stepped in bounds when he tried to inbound the ball giving the Yellow Jackets a shot at the game. With 24 seconds remaining, Darren Jones attempted the long ball that sailed over the rim. Jackson tried to tip it in but it rolled off of his hands. Little attempted the long ball with just two seconds on the clock but it too hit the rim and an extra session was in effect. Ricky Jackson led the offensive efforts for the Yellow Jackets with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Senior Ted Scott and junior Darren Jones added 14 and 13 points respectively. James Dillard (Apex, N.C.) recorded his first career double-double of his career with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
