WESTMINSTER, MD - The #15 Johns Hopkins men's tennis team rolled to its fourth straight win on Wednesday night, shutting out McDaniel 9-0. The Blue Jays are now 4-3 overall and 2-0 in the Centennial Conference while the Green Terror fall to 0-1 overall and in the conference.

Playing at first doubles, freshman Casey Blythe (Louisville, KY/Saint Xavier) and junior Tripp Weber (Blue Bell, PA/Germantown Academy) won 8-1 over Chris Reed and Ben Faber. Sophomore Peter Vale (Haverford, PA/Episcopal Academy) and senior Rafael Roberti (Summit, NJ/Summit) beat Dan Hovorka and Corey Graybill 8-2 at second. And at third, senior Matt Naftilan (Nashville, TN/Montgomery Bell Academy) and sophomore Dan Myers (Chattanooga, TN/Collegiate School) blanked Drew Gress and Justin Ward.

In singles play, the Blue Jays lost just seven games as all six Blue Jays won in straight sets. At first, Blythe won 6-0, 6-0 over Hovorka. Roberti won at second, 6-0, 6-0 over Reed. Weber also won 6-0, 6-0, beating Graybill at fourth. At sixth, Myers swept Pettaway 6-0, 6-0. Vale won at second singles, beating Faber 6-4, 6-1. And at fifth, Naftilan defeated Gress 6-2, 6-0.

Hopkins returns to action on Friday, March 28 at #10 Mary Washington. The non-conference match is slated to start at 4:00 pm. The Blue Jays then return home to take on the Muhlenberg Mules on Saturday in an 11:00 am conference match.
