Hopkins Finishes Sixth at Patriot Games

FAIRFAX, VA - The Johns Hopkins men's track and field team finished sixth at the Patriot Games hosted by George Mason University on Saturday. The Blue Jays were led by Tristan Thomas who was second in the 60 meter dash and Geoff Nunns who finished ninth in the 3,000-meter run.
The meet consisted of teams from Divisions I and III along with community colleges. The event was won by the host, George Mason with 128 points. UMBC and Richmond along with Davidson rounded out the top three with 49 and 42 points each respectively.
Thomas, who had the top time in the preliminary (7.02), finished the finals for the 60 meter dash in second with a time of 7.04. He also finished fourth in the 200 meter dash, crossing the line in 23.22.
Nunns was ninth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:02.93. David Sigmon collected 15th in that event with a time of 9:17.11. Noah Jampol was ninth in the one mile run, crossing the line in 4:28.75. While teammate Graham Belton ran a 4:32.45 to finish 13th in the same event.
Brandon Hahn was ninth in the 800-meters, finishing in 2:03.53. The distance medley relay team ran a 10:44.23 to finish second. Peter Li was fourth in the shot put with a throw of 14.25m.
Hopkins will be back in action on February 2nd at both the University of Delaware Invitational and Frank Colden Invitational hosted by Ursinus.
